South Dakota was given an A rating by The Committee to Unleash Prosperity and came in as the 5th best state in regards to handling Covid-19.

South Dakota comes in at number 5 because of its handling of the economy(1st), unemployment(3rd), and in-person learning(4th). South Dakota did however fall flat when it came to its adjusted death rate(42nd) and overall death rate(47th)
