For reference, on the federal background check, everyone is required to fill out when purchasing a firearm, there is a question about drug use. If you answer that you have used illegal drugs in the past you will be denied the firearm, Hunter Biden got the firearm so clearly that he answered in the negative despite it being well known that he was addicted to crack cocaine at this time.

As for losing the firearm. Hunter Biden’s mistress saw he had purchased a firearm and thought that he might do something rash with it, so she threw it into a dumpster. Thankfully a good samaritan found it and brought it to the police. The Secret Service came in and cleaned everything up before the media could get involved.
