On Thursday evening, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) announced her support for the giant Manchin-Schumer spending bill, erroneously dubbed the “Inflation Reduction Act.” The move came after she previously signaled changes would be necessary for her to sign on.

Fox News reports:

Fox News Digital spoke to a number of residents on the streets of Arizona to get their take on the bill, as well as whether Sinema should agree to it considering it would lead to tax hikes on middle class Americans.

“I believe she should, yes, if only because it’s going to help the economy,” said resident Willis Daychild. “I’m all for it because this inflation is pretty outrageous right now, and if they can do something to curb that somehow, then I’m all for it.”

Resident Gary Kuznia disagreed, saying, “No way,” and suggesting he had such strong feelings about the bill that he was intentionally keeping his language clean for the camera.

He predicted the bill would not do anything to help fix the massive level of inflation currently facing Americans, and that it would lead to increased taxes on Americans despite promises that it would not.

  1. Tax hikes never affect the intended parties. It’s simple trickle down economics. Too bad the stupid can’t comprehend that. Can’t fix stupid.

  2. Well, she has surely lost all independent voters, some moderate Republican voters, and probably a good many democrat voters when her re-election comes up.

  3. Of course it’s going to tax the crap out of everyone who can’t afford it! That’s the Democrats motto. Screw the working class!

  4. I do not care how high the tax go,you cant get blood out of a Turnip?People can not pay tax if they are broke.

    1. Of course, broke people can pay taxes. Federal taxes are withheld from working people’s incomes before they spend what is left on necessities. We need the Fair Tax (a sales tax to replace the income tax) so everyone will pay his fair share, but Democrats can’t manipulate the income tax code to pretend to working people that others are paying the higher taxes, taxes that we all pay, either directly or indirectly.

  5. The click bait for this article said. “This is bad for the GOP.” That’s flat wrong. It’s a great selling ;point for the GOP, particularly in 2024 when the effects of this bill will be felt. However, it’s bad for the nation. We’re spending more money we don’t have on objects Congress is not supposed to touch.

  6. Like I always said:
Once a DEMONKRAP always a DEMONKRAP!
These people always, always do something our side never learns.
They stick together through thick and thin!!!
    Thick as thieves!

    1. there is only ONE party in Amerika. The evil party. They steal, kill and lie. “WE” need to cut them off, STOP paying them to abuse us…. alter, abolish, separate

  7. Massive change in the federal tax organization. As with other socialist countries the goal is to tax the middle class out of existence with inflation and obscene energy costs. The lower class will pay minimum or no tax, the wealthy will have their money managed through investments and write offs and the middle class will bear the burden. With no middle class the labor class will depend on subsidies or welfare and America will become a one party government. Why do you think Biden has put such a humongous tax reform in the inflation bill. The IRS agents will now be armed also. Is there any act more Marxist than that. Biden has no soul. Republcans have no guts.

  8. Very disappointed with Manchin and Sinema. They gave American Hope, but were just a show! They go want they wanted for their state, and the Hell with the rest of the country!

  9. This new law leaves more questions than answers. Suppose you convert preferred stock to common stock. Is this a buy back subject to tax? How about a reverse split? Or a liquidating dividend?

  10. More proof that the existence of “moderate” Democrat politicians is a myth. The moderates were the Republicans who voted against raising taxes, including directly or indirectly on the middle class, during rampant inflation that was caused by the previous huge partisan (no Republican votes) spending bill.

  11. Well, Sinema lost all respect from me! She stabbed us in the back and still thinks we will vote for her. Nope!!! As far as I am concerned, she is done! Vote her and double dealing Manchin out! They are traitors and deserve no quarter in our government! But—- the have greatly energized the Republican base, now ALL republicans must vote, make it a red tsunami to wash all the slime out of our government! Go MAGA!!!!

  12. A really bad law, that increases inflation, causing the recession to get worse, putting armed tax collectors on the streets with authority to use deadly force, and statistics prove that excessive numbers of tax collectors will not be used only to collect taxes and do audits on people making over $400,000 a year, who have accountants and attorneys that are experienced and experts in fighting the IRS and beating them in our US courts.

The extra amount of taxes that will be collected by these excessive numbers of tax collectors won’t be able to retrieve enough extra taxes to pay their salaries, just wait and see

So, to justify their salaries they will have to brow beat the people making $200,000 and less with audits that will scare them into paying anything all these new tax collectors claim that they owe, with no finances to hire expert accountants and attorneys that are capable of beating the IRS’s attorneys in our US courts.

This law is now named after Schumer/Manchin and will finally give the Republicans something to beat Manchin in the state of West Virginia, which is over 75% Republicans ever since the Democrats made war on the coal industry, the main job creators in the state. This law will be hung on the neck of Joe Manchin, who before this was practically untouchable in the state of West Virginia.
