On Tuesday, the voters of Wyoming decided U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney’s fate and ousted her from Congress in favor of Republican state legislator Harriet Hageman, who has 45th President Donald Trump’s endorsement.

With 99 percent of the expected vote in, Cheney only garnered a meager 28.9 percent, while Hageman more than doubled that with 66.3 percent, according to Politico.
“I strongly endorse Republican House of Representatives Candidate Harriet Hageman from Wyoming who is running against warmonger and disloyal Republican, Liz Cheney,” said Trump when he endorsed Hageman. “Harriet is a fourth-generation daughter of Wyoming, a very successful attorney, and has the support and respect of a truly great U.S. Senator, Wyoming’s own Cynthia Lummis.”
“Like many Wyomingites, I supported Liz Cheney when she ran for Congress,” Hageman said when speaking about her campaign. “But then she betrayed Wyoming, she betrayed this country, and she betrayed me.”
Now, Cheney finds herself headed to the unemployment line alongside fellow pro-impeachment Republicans, including Reps. Jamie Herrera Beutler (WA), Peter Meijer (MI), and Tom Rice (SC) to name a few.
Cheney is the vice-chair of Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 inquisition into the incursion of the U.S. Capitol, which has been blown out of proportion to attack Republicans. The polls show the January 6 riot has little effect on the electorate, as evidenced by Cheney’s clear loss on Tuesday to the pro-Trump faction of the GOP — the large majority of Republican voters.
