Following the news of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s announcement that he would resign in December, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) weighed in.
The Daily Wire reports:
“Fauci’s resignation will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic,” Paul said in a Monday morning tweet of Fauci, with whom the senator has sparred during congressional hearings on multiple occasions. “He will be asked to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the lab leak.”
Fauci announced on Monday that he would be stepping down as President Joe Biden’s top medical adviser and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases later this year.
“I will be leaving these positions in December of this year to pursue the next chapter of my career,” said Fauci, who has drawn the ire of many Americans for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, his discussions of vaccines, lockdowns, and the origins of the pandemic.
Fauci emphasized that he is “not retiring,” promising to use his knowledge to “advance science and public health.”

Rand Paul deserves the Medal of Freedom for dogging that PoS Fauci. He is the ONLY Senator who has consistently kept the pressure on that lying hack – and on every issue, from his bungling response to the disease to his culpability for the “gain of function” research and sloppy procedures which created it and allowed it to get into the population. I hope he succeeds in hanging Fauci who belongs behind bars.
Rand Paul is a phony. He had enough information before to show that Fauci and the drug companies had committed at least 5 felonies under the antitrust act and he didn’t use it. He hasn’t done anything about the fact that Fauci lied about the effectiveness and safety of Remdesivir nor has he done anything about the lies about the other safe and effective treatments for Covid that have resulted in the needless death of thousands of people, not to mention he did the same thing with AIDS.

What I always get disappointed about is all these “I/we are going to investigate” and while it seems to commence, all of a sudden it all becomes a political issue and the charges become moot or just fade away. Besides Trump (leave out J6) what other politician has been charged and gone to trial lately? How many Republicans or how many Democrats?
