Everything California’s Mad New Climate Policy Could Mean for Our Country

ruinous road restrictions

California announced that it would move up its timeline to “phase out” gasoline-powered vehicles. They set their new timeline to 2035 and immediately other left-wing states jumped on board. New York State, Oregon, Washington State, and Rhode Island all agreed that they would also make the sale of those cars illegal by 2035.

For the record, just under 1% of all cars are currently electric and California is already in major trouble. They shut down countless nuclear and coal plants leaving them vulnerable to all kinds of threats. This summer they have been experiencing rolling blackouts because the energy grid just isn’t equipped for the weight it’s under.

From the Daily Wire:

The U.S. electric grid continues to be a major point of concern. A recent study warns that two-thirds of the U.S. is at risk for electricity blackouts this summer.

“Overall, the biggest thing is that is the loss of nuclear and coal plants that those provide the U.S. with what’s so called as baseload power, which means that when the sun isn’t shining or there’s a drought, we still have a supply of power in the U.S., this could have sensibly be replaced by natural gas,” Breanne Deppisch, Energy and Environment Reporter of the Washington Examiner, told The Daily Wire. “We just don’t have enough of that in the U.S. right now.”

California’s grid is in shambles. Their so-called “renewable” energy is inefficient and unreliable. Ultimately, the increased strain from electric cars is going to be a nightmare the state just can’t handle.
