Catfight In Congress: Lauren Boebert And MTG Trade Blows On Twitter

On Monday, Reps. (R-Ga.) Marjorie Taylor Greene and (R-Colo.) Lauren Boebert traded blows on Twitter due to a disagreement over Boeberts comments at Turning Point USA’s America Fest. Boebert’s comments stem from Greene’s support of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) for Speaker of the House. “I’ve been aligned with Marjorie and accused of believing a lot of the things that she believes in,” Boebert said. “I don’t believe in this just like I don’t believe in … Jewish space lasers.”

Following a shot that Boebert initially took at Greene, Greene took to Twitter saying:

“I’ve supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. President Trump has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. She just barely came through by 500 votes,” Greene tweeted.

“She gladly takes our $$$ but when she’s been asked: Lauren refuses to endorse President Trump, she refuses to support Kevin McCarthy, and she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite.”

However, Boebert is aware of this and could likely attribute her narrow election victory in part due to how she is perceived to be similar to Greene, one of the most controversial people in Congress in recent memory. As Boebert said, “I’ve been aligned with Marjorie and accused of believing a lot of the things that she believes in… I don’t believe in this just like I don’t believe in … Jewish space lasers.”
