The White House has issued a statement responding to Nancy Pelosi ripping up President Trump’s State of the Union speech after he finished.
According to The Daily Wire:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) dominated the headlines following President Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday after, standing directly behind him, ripped up the president’s speech for all the world to see, later telling the press that she did so because it was a “dirty speech” and that shredding it was better than the “alternative.” Shortly after, the White House issued its official response to Pelosi’s viral moment.
Speaker Pelosi just ripped up:
One of our last surviving Tuskegee Airmen.
The survival of a child born at 21 weeks.
The mourning families of Rocky Jones and Kayla Mueller.
A service member’s reunion with his family.
That’s her legacy.

Asked about her disrespectful actions, Pelosi told reporters that ripping up his speech was the “courteous” thing to do considering the “alternative,” which she chose not to specify.

As The Daily Wire’s Amanda Prestigiacomo reported Tuesday night, Pelosi started off the SOTU by breaking tradition in refusing to announce President Trump properly. “Protocol, as decades of past SOTU addresses show, is for the House Speaker to announce the president by noting that it is their ‘high privilege and distinct honor’ to do so.”
Not only could the Democrats not stand for major American accomplishments they chose to commit acts of disrespect along the way.
