Democrat Calls Out Biden Admin for Misleading Photos of Migrant Facility

Democrat Representative Henry Cuellar isn’t buying the Biden administration’s claims that the border crisis has subsided. The Texas Democrat says Biden has just started showing misleading photos of migrant facilities with the media to make it appear as if the facilities are now empty. However, Rep. Cuellar told Border Report, “All they’re doing is, they’re moving kids from one tent to the other tent and saying, ‘Oh, they’re not in the Border Patrol (custody).”

Fox News reports:

The youths were relocated to nearby tents operated by the Department of Health and Human Services, the congressman told the outlet.

“But they’re right next door,” Cuellar added about the migrants. “They’re just next door in HHS.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that the youths were now spending less time in the processing facilities than they had been earlier in the year.

“The amount of time children spend in CBP custody is down 75 percent, from 131 hours at the end of March to under 30 hours now,” Psaki said. CBP refers to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a unit of Homeland Security that is among several U.S. agencies dealing with matters along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Biden administration released photos from the Donna, TX migrant facility from the week of April 30th to paint the picture that border crossings are way down from March. The photo below shows a stark contrast to photos taken in March which showed overcrowded facilities with people nearly on top of one another.

Cuellar is vice chairman of the House Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee and has traveled to the migrant facilities to see the devastation firsthand. The Democrat says the Biden administration is simply trying to distract Americans from the far from over border crisis by circulating clever images that don’t tell the real story.
