President Trump will travel to the United Kingdom this summer for a “working visit” with Prime Minister Theresa May, the White House announced Thursday.
Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the July 13 trip during a briefing with reporters’ children at the White House for Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.The visit will include a meeting between Trump and May, who have clashed in the past over issues including trade and terrorism.A Downing Street spokesperson confirmed the meeting and said further details about the trip would be forthcoming.
May was the first foreign leader to visit Trump at the White House after his inauguration last year, but a close bond was not formed.
