Politico reports that the former vice president isn’t scrambling to hire new talent, but is keeping his old hands nearby. Joe Biden represents the old guard, as he will be 78 in 2020, a bit older than President Trump. He has the resume of a front-runner, and the chops to take some purple states from President Trump. Biden may not have the backing of the base, which is quite enamored of far-left candidates like Bernie Sanders.
