Eric Bolling is known for his career on Fox, but last year, that changed. In 2017, Eric lost his college-age son to an opioid overdose, and life hasn’t been the same for him since.
“It was a complete, devastating shock to us… immediately we were in major, major depression. We didn’t know what to do,” Bolling said of how his son’s death affected him and his wife, Adrienne, in an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” last week.
On the first Thanksgiving after his son’s overdose, Bolling received a call from President Trump. “Eric, I know this is your first holiday without your son. I just wanted you to know we are thinking about you.”
Bolling said of Trump, “He cares about this issue. … The guy has empathy and compassion for this.” Bolling says he is working with the White House directly to fight the opioid epidemic, one initiative at a time.
