Obama was so invested in getting elected in 2012 that he phoned it in on a little-known outpost in Libya, now infamous as Benghazi. He wanted credit for toppling Gaddafi, who had already yielded to President Bush by unilaterally disarming his weapons of mass destruction, but Obama wanted more. He failed to give timely support to four Americans there when jihadis attacked the American consulate. His shameful neglect cost American lives.
