In Woodward’s book “Plan of Attack” he described CIA director George Tenet as having said that it was a “Slam Dunk Case” that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Tenet went on to explain that he was taken out of context, what he actually said was that it was a slam dunk to build a public case for the war because at the time even liberals were in support of the Iraq war.
