Melania Trump has worked tirelessly to get back several pieces of furniture for the White House that were sold in an auction in 1860. The collection of furniture is called the Bellangé collection and it was first brought to the White House in 1817 by then-President James Monroe. Since the mission was commenced under Jackie Kennedy a total of 10 pieces have been recovered.
Unfortunately, this may be the last time relics like this make it back to their home. Historians are saying that the other pieces of the collection are “lost to history.”
