ISWA is a terror group in Africa that is being reported as the main aggressor in this grotesque attack. Early Sunday morning on August 19th the group attacked the village Mailari in Northern Nigeria, one of the men who escaped the attack, Abacha Umar, is stating that the group could have been either the Islamic State of West Africa (ISWA) or Boko No Haram but he could not tell as both are similar extremist groups with the same ideology. Umar reported the death toll to be 19 but an aid worker would later say that it was more likely to be around 63. It is hard to find the death toll as these groups often take captives to be slaves, brides, or child soldiers and are unaccounted for in the numbers of bodies but instead are counted as missing persons.
