Gorsuch sided with liberals in another case revolving around criminal defendants. A judge put a man back in prison after he violated his supervised release conditions. The Supreme Court argued that the judge violated the 6th Amendment by giving what was effectively another sentence with no jury or proper trial. The man who is at the center of this case was initially convicted on child pornography charges.
