Obama tried to take credit for the economy earlier this month and apparently not even liberal college students are buying that claim.
Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips visited Michigan State University to speak to students and see who they think deserves credit for the state of the U.S. economy.
Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, a majority of students said Trump, not Obama, should get credit.
“He’s been out long enough now, [the economy] is not on him anymore, it’s more on Donald Trump. So I guess he’s a little bit in the wrong," one student said of Obama's comments.
Another added, “I feel like once a president’s done they hand it off. ... In terms of [economic] confidence and changing people’s attitudes, I would say that’s mostly Trump.”
