It’s no secret that establishment Republicans are still sore that a political outsider beat them at their own game. It’s like a wild card team beating the odds-on favorite in any sport; it makes the professionals look bad. Right now, we can’t be sure who will lead the establishment resistance to President Trump in 2020, but we know who’s getting coverage.
 
Through our own research, these are the people with the resources and the motive to take on President Trump in the 2020 Republican primaries. The following “Republicans” definitely showed that they want the job in the past, and could make for some interesting Trump smackdowns in the not-to-distant future. Number 3 is laughable and includes another great Trump nickname, but that won’t stop them.
