Twitter Officially Censors a Trump Tweet

Twitter on Wednesday censored a tweet by President Trump after a complaint was filed by Warner Bros. because the video contained a copyrighted song.

According to The Daily Wire:

After a copyright complaint from Warner Brothers, Twitter has pulled a fan-made Trump 2020 campaign video from President Trump’s feed.

“MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” Trump tweeted Tuesday afternoon, posting a video reportedly made by the group MateyProductions highlighting some of Trump’s presidential accomplishments, as well as some of his more famous detractors.

Warner Brothers clearly didn’t appreciate the unauthorized use of the music from its popular film. “The use of Warner Bros’ score from The Dark Knight Rises in the campaign video was unauthorized,” the studio said in a statement reported by BuzzFeed. “We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed.”

A few hours after the studio filed its complaint, Twitter pulled the video. In its place was the message: “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”

President Trump has since deleted the tweet that was censored by Twitter. The video was not created by the Trump team which according to the report keep the president from facing legal action for it. At this point, this is total speculation.

As of the writing of this story the video still existed on Twitter. Watch it below:
