For days the media has been calling on President-elect Donald Trump to condemn alleged hate crimes being committed by his supporters against minorities in the wake of his presidency.
During a pre-taped interview with 60-Minutes, which aired Sunday night but was filmed on Friday, President-elect Trump did in fact tell supporters to “stop it.” Instead of producing the clip of him saying so to calm fears and tensions, 60-Minutes sat on it for two days.
When asked about the decision to hold the tape, this was the response.
On why @60Minutes held tape of Trump telling supporters not to incite violence for *two days. Completely undwhelming. https://t.co/i3wVGUIeLv
