Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook finally admitted the truth about the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad candidate who used to employ him, Hillary Clinton- and the shitty comments she made about millions of hardworking Americans who support Donald Trump: They destroyed her. Here’s Mook, via the Daily Caller:
“I think it definitely could have alienated some voters, and that’s why she got out there right away,” Mook admitted reluctantly in a forum discussion hosted earlier this week by CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Tapper, who aired the segment on his show on Sunday, had asked the failed campaign chief about an internal Clinton campaign study which found that Clinton’s Sept. 9 comment that “you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables” had a more negative impact on undecided voters than anything else during the campaign.
In the CNN forum, which was also attended by Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, Mook first downplayed Clinton’s remark.
The rest of Chuck Ross’ Daily Caller piece on the matter is a worthwhile read, although we’re not sure that there was anything that could have saved Hillary Clinton’s dumpsterfire of a campaign. If anything, those comments were a refreshing bit of honesty from a candidate who shied away from saying anything that wasn’t market tested as safe. What they revealed about her was what nearly every American voter expected: Mrs. Clinton has absolute contempt for people, and the entire political process that she had to engage in order to achieve her sole purpose in life- attaining the presidency of the United States of America.
As Donald Trump would say: “Sad!”
