Donald Trump is trying to decide who he’ll replace Justice Antonin Scalia with on the Supreme Court, and he’s going to one of “Nino’s” oldest friends for advice: Fox News contributor Judge Andrew Napolitano:
Judge Andrew Napolitano met with President-elect Donald Trump to discuss the current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court.
“He was interested in a broad range of ideas and attitudes about the type of person who would best fill Justice [Antonin] Scalia’s seat,” Napolitano, Fox News’ senior judicial analyst, told Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney.
Napolitano spent close to an hour with the incoming president, and advised him on how to find candidates with the right “intellectual, ideological, and temperamental qualities.”
Napolitano, a stalwart libertarian, supported Ron Paul and his son, Sen. Rand Paul, in their campaigns for president.
Napolitano is an ardent defender of liberty and an eloquent speaker for the cause of limited government. He gave this stirring monologue just before the end of his show, Freedom Watch, on Fox News:
We like where this is going.
