President Trump ran as the toughest candidate for border security in decades. Yet, he was willing to compromise with Democrats for DACA illegals or young people who were brought to America by their parents illegally. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is using his 49 Democrats to block a border wall because President Trump will not accept the status quo of unlimited chain migration and visa lottery immigrants. That’s why the President took it to Sen, Schumer on Twitter:

The President is calling out Schumer because Senate Democrats just shut down the government for illegals. Americans rejected that in multiple polls, so the Democrats caved. Now Schumer wants everything he wanted in the shut down after he figured out the shutdown was politically untenable; he needs to look tough after he caved. Sen. Schumer needs to turn public opinion against the wall and use good immigrants to cover for bad ones; that’s the only way he wins.
 
Schumer has opined for years against obstructionism, yet does the same to perpetuate the failed status quo on immigration, when the voters in 2016 just voted to change it. The only way the Democrat base will be satisfied with Schumer is if President Trump doesn’t win with his signature issue: building the wall. Schumer is betting the farm that he can gin up more sympathy for DACA illegals than Trump can gin up for the wall. This tweet is the President taking that bet.
