China’s tariffs on American goods are three times that of American tariffs, and the president is tired of bad trade deals. China has many such trade barriers, as well as a bad habit of stealing American technology and making things without compensating the patent holder. President Trump moved last week to impose a 25 percent tariff on $50 Billion worth of their goods, as a means of forcing them to play fair in their dealings with us. No administration has taken such a large-scale step to correct China’s unfair trade practices.
