The media has made much lately of the alleged inhumane treatment of illegals by the Trump administration. Their failure to verify that the photo was from the Obama years only shows that whatever is wrong with immigration law isn’t new, and certainly isn’t because of President Trump. The mistake the media is making by playing up the “family separation” issue is that most Americans want action taken to secure the border, and this, like other recent fake narratives, will only energize that sentiment and make Americans demand greater enforcement, not amnesty. The media is stoking the wrong fires on this one.
