Tony Campbell is an African-American Trump supporter from the Baltimore area. The Towson University professor is taking on liberal Democrat Senator Ben Cardin. Maryland is a tough place to be a Trump supporter, but Campbell is fighting the good fight on the doorstep of the swamp.

As a black conservative, he’s also the sort of candidate that keeps Democrats up at night. With popular Republican Governor Larry Hogan on the top of the ballot, Campbell might be a sleeper race to watch in 2018.
