The Steele dossier had “limited corroboration”

Ratcliffe declassified a footnote from the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian interference in the 2016 election. The footnote showed that Christopher Steele, author of the Trump dossier, only had “limited corroboration” into the accusation that President Trump “knowingly worked with Russian officials to bolster his chances of beating Hillary Clinton.” Steele’s reporting was funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee through the law firm Perkins Coie.
