Oakland, California is another liberal Mecca that slashed police budgets for the sake of being woke and appeasing BLM.

The city of Oakland is a lot smaller than some of the other cities on the list and in smaller cities budgeting is a bigger issue. It was controversial at the time when residents in the city heard that their police department was going to shrink. 

Now that the experiment has failed and crime rates are soaring the city is giving back $10 million to the police and fire department.
