Gov. Newsom Plans to Use Texas Abortion Law as Model to Enact Stricter Gun-Control Laws

California Governor Gavin Newsom says he intends to use the Supreme Court’s decision. to allow the Texas abortion ban to stay in place as a model for stricter gun control laws in his state.

Fox News reports:

Newsom said the Supreme Court’s decision has set a precedent that will allow states to avoid federal courts when enacting laws.

The Texas law allows private citizens to sue anyone who helps a woman get an abortion after a fetal heartbeat can be detected.

“I am outraged by yesterday’s U.S. Supreme Court decision allowing Texas’s ban on most abortion services to remain in place,” Newsom wrote in a statement Saturday. “But if states can now shield their laws from review by the federal courts that compare assault weapons to Swiss Army knives, then California will use that authority to protect people’s lives, where Texas used it to put women in harm’s way.”

He said he has already directed his staff to work with the legislature and the attorney general to craft a bill that would allow private citizens to sue those who manufacture, distribute or sell an assault weapon or ghost gun kit.

Will Newsom get his wish or will this attempt be shot down?

Protect people’s lives. In CA, where the criminals have all the rights, and you have none. No wonder major companies are bailing out.

Where do fire arms and killing a human being in the mother”s womb have to do with each other.
It’s CA. What do you expect? The people there, for the most part are in a deep sleep.

I heard about and I’ve made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. The potential with this is endless.

Amazing how a Governor has such little knowledge of the US Constitution. There is a specific amendment for the right to bear arms. I’m unaware the amendment that allows women to murder their babies. Am I missing something? Newsom is an idiot and those who support him are bigger idiots.

A brainless jerk. The Constitution deals with self defense (weapons), there is no mention of the right to killing babies before, during, or after. Pelosi relative … it figures.

What Newsome is missing is that Right to have guns is in the second amendment but which amendment covers abortions or just killing babies? there is none.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Newsome is always good for a laugh. He is about as relevant as a boil on a person’s fanny, and about as interesting. California, you sure he didn’t cheat on that recall vote? He is a nephew of Pelosi. Sure glad he isn’t from Texas.

As much as I love California, our ‘governor’ is a dictator and his constituency is made up of a bunch of lunatics. If Reagan hadn’t eliminated insane asylums 50 years ago, they’d be overloaded today … with legislators!

Reagan didn’t eliminate insane asylums, Clinton did. He eliminated holding the mental ill people more than two weeks in a mental hospital.. The normal amount of hospital time was six weeks.

Newsom is moral garbage – like all modern Democrats. Perhaps the Democrat Party, as presently constituted, cannot be saved. It is, every day, more and more like the old Soviet Communist party, which collapsed when the Soviet Union did.

If there is anything to the above article, it looks like the USSC, in it’s Texas abortion decision might have well and truly screwed the pooch.

Supreme Court Decision – “All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.” Marbury vs. Madison, 5 US (2 Cranch) 137, 174, 176, (1803)
The 2nd Amendment Shall Not be Infringed. In other words all these reulations and bans mean nothing – they go against he Constitution — Shall Not be Infringed

That is what CA deserves voting to keep Gov. Newsom back in office or better power. That just proves CA would vote for anyone that fits the Democrat liberal and socialist agenda/narrative. You could not pay me enough to live in CA. Just waiting for the big earth quake to take our CA so they can blame it on climate change.

As Governor, taking action to infringe on, or abrogate, the citizens 2nd Amendment Rights is not only a violation of his Oath to support and defend the Constitution, but an act of rebellion; therefore, his actions are treasonous.

There is one major problem with Newsome’s thinking on this. The right to keep and bear arms is gauranteed by the U.S. consitution, whereas the right to an abortion is not. In fact, unless Iam mistaken, abortion is not even mentoned anywhere in the constitution.

Euthanasia [ˌyo͞oTHəˈnāZH(ē)ə, ˌyo͞oTHəˈnāzēə]
NOUN

  1. the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in an irreversible coma. The practice is illegal in most countries.
  2. synonyms: mercy killing · assisted suicide · physician-assisted suicide · merciful release · happy release · quietus

It is illegal in the U.S.A. by federal law. Euthanasia is just another name for “abortion” after a heartbeat is discovered. That makes abortion after detection of the heartbeat, murder and should be treated as such. It does not even qualify as “Assisted Suicide” since the victim is not suffering from an incurable and painful disease or irreversible, etc. The victim does not even have the chance to make a request for Assisted suicide, which by the way is only legal in a couple of the States in the United States. Therefore, all abortions after heartbeat detection are actually planned homicides.

Okay all you baby killers, bring it on.

The California republic is more like the Banana Republic – how disgusting it is to think this shining state turned into shit hole by the few and rich – I’ve always enjoyed my time in CA – too bad they like NY are to corrupt to fix the problems

The 2nd amendement is a constitutional right. There is no constitutional right for abortion. This argument does not hold the same weight.
