Backlash from Parents 

There was an immense backlash from parents across the country after the letter was released. Many were rightfully upset that it was suggested that they were domestic terrorists. Even parents that were not initially protesting the actions of school boards were upset, and this combined with the now heightened coverage of the issues that pushed Cardona to suggest the letter lead to these parents joining the cause.
