Several House Republicans are standing up to McConnell and McCarthy and threatening to shut down the government if they don’t stand up to Biden and push back on the vaccine mandate. These Republicans want to punish localities and states that are pushing unconstitutional vaccine mandates on their residents and Republican leadership has other priorities. 

This effort is being led by Republican Representative Chip Roy and other Republicans have signed his letter to put their weight behind the effort.
