Crossing the Manchin Wall
Before the deceptively named “Inflation Reduction Act” passed, Biden was spinning his wheels. He and Senate Democrats enlisted Manchin to write their policies so they could guarantee their passage. Unfortunately, it worked.
The Inflation Reduction Act expanded the IRS, threw money at climate doomsayers, and addressed federal deficits. Biden also just passed a massive act to pay off student loan debts with taxpayer dollars. This will also buy him votes.
