45th President Trump responded to the 2022 midterm election results via Truth Social on Wednesday after more races were called. Trump, who endorsed many candidates this cycle, had an impressive 216 wins with 16 losses, according to him. Trump wrote, “While in certain way yesterday’s election was somewhat disappointing, from my personal standpoint it was a very big victory — 219 WINS and 16 Losses in the General — Who has ever done better than that?” Many endorsements by Trump, such as J.D. Vance’s victory for U.S. Senate in Ohio and others, sped to easy election victory.
Newsmax reports:
Republicans seemed a sure bet to take the House and oversight of the executive branch of government.
But Republicans woke up Wednesday to some hard facts as well.
Dr. Mehmet Oz lost to Sen.-elect John Fetterman, D-Pa.; and Herschel Walker, R-Ga., will face Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., in a Dec. 6 runoff.
Trump’s candidates had an impressive showing on election night, but many races are still rushing in.
