Trump Promises to Protect Minors from Harmful Gender-Affirming Care and Promote Traditional Family Values

If re-elected, Former President Donald Trump has pledged to ban gender-affirming care for minors, calling it “child abuse” and “child sexual mutilation.” He also wants to promote positive education about the traditional nuclear family and the roles of mothers and fathers, views that he believes have been abandoned in America, contributing to the country’s high rates of depression and anxiety. Trump hopes to return to tradition if elected in 2024.

Protecting Minors from Harmful Gender-Affirming Care

In a video message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump expressed his concern about the safety of minors who receive gender-affirming care. He promised to task federal agencies with policing and ultimately “stopping” the practice, which he equated to child abuse. Trump also promised to prohibit any federal agency from promoting the concept of sex and gender transition at any age, not just for minors.

Promoting Traditional Family Values

In addition to his promises about gender-affirming care, Trump also expressed his desire to promote positive education about the nuclear family and the roles of mothers and fathers. He believes that the left-wing gender ideology being pushed on children is an act of child abuse. Therefore, he has vowed to create a new credentialing body for teachers regarding the teaching of race history. Opposition and Support

However, gender-affirming care is not equivalent a life-saving medical treatment to heart surgeries or cancer treatments, instead, it may be a way of pacifying a mental health crisis that the medical system is choosing not to address in an attempt to profit.

Trump’s proposals have found support among conservatives nationwide, who are increasingly concerned about trans issues, particularly gender-affirming care for minors.

Despite the backing of medical organizations such as the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Psychological Association for gender-affirming care for minors, Trump has vowed to investigate the pharmaceutical industry and hospitals for allegedly hiding the long-term side effects of sex transitions in order to profit. He has also pledged to strip doctors who treat trans youths with hormones or surgery of Medicare and Medicaid coverage.
