A Muslim preschool teacher in Texas is fired—after a shocking string of anti-Semitic tweets.
Nancy Salem, who had taught preschool at The Children’s Courtyard, had her tweets flagged to her employer by a group called Canary Mission, which is dedicated to exposing educators who are vocally anti-Israel and anti-Semitic.
In one tweet, Salem implored someone to “kill some Jews” on an upcoming trip to Israel.
In another, Salem quoted another tweet that said: “How many Jews died in the Holocaust? Not enough.” Her response was, “HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.”
In yet another tweet, Salem said she had, “gassed a Jew. I’m sweating. Heil.”
The Children’s Courtyard took swift action—and released a statement saying that Salem was no longer an employee.
“Providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment is of the utmost importance to us,” the statement said. “The offensive comments certainly don’t reflect our views. Our employees are expected to uphold certain standards of personal and professional conduct. Our senior leadership thoroughly investigated this matter. This person no longer works for our company.”
