President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed polls showing him having historically low approval ratings as he comes into office.
“They are rigged just like before,” he said in a morning tweet. “The same people who did the phony election polls, and were so wrong, are now doing approval rating polls. ”
The criticism comes as a Washington Post-ABC News poll on Tuesday claimed Trump will be the least popular incoming president in more than 40 years.
According to the poll, Trump enters the White House with only 40 percent of Americans having a favorable opinion of him, while 54 percent have an unfavorable view.
