Many Democratic candidates are not welcoming Biden onto the campaign trail with them this season. With only 19 days until the midterm elections, Democrats are in crunch time in what is looking like a potential flip for Republicans this midterm season. Though, Democrats are not excited for Biden to join them on stages across the country. As recent polls are continuing to show his approval rating fall, many don’t want to take the chance on Biden standing by their side.

While some Democratic party members are attempting to downplay the issue by stating things such as incumbent presidents are not a boost during midterms, if the President was well liked and accepted by the masses they would have no problem parading him around the county. It is ludicrous that the party is instead treading lightly around the issue claiming things like scheduling conflicts to get out of stating the facts.

According to News Max, The Washington Post reported that:

“Candidates in key races in battleground states are either not asking Biden to come — or actively avoiding him when he does. The newspaper attributed its information to a survey it conducted of more than 60 candidates in the most competitive gubernatorial, U.S. Senate, and congressional campaigns in the nation.
But the White House said Biden will hit the road a lot in the weeks leading up to the midterms. However, it remains unclear which candidates he will campaign for, NPR noted.”

The white house seems to want to remain just as oblivious as the rest of the party on this one.
