Record Keeping 

The Biden administration will be requiring firearm dealers to keep and maintain records indefinitely under the new rules. In the event that a firearm dealer closes ship or loses their license, they will be required to hand over these records to the ATF. 

These records include background checks which contain the information of individuals who have purchased guns at these stores. 

Under the previous rules, these records were only kept for a period of time and were set to be destroyed after 20 years.
