In a formal letter to the Commission for Presidential Debates, President Trump’s campaign manager, Bill Stepien asks the Commission to reconsider the topics selected for the final debate to include a greater focus on foreign policy. Stepien notes a previous agreement between the Trump and Biden campaign that the final debate would focus on the issue of foreign policy. The campaign manager points out that nearly all of the topics selected by Welker were already discussed during the first debate and claims that the lack of discussion focused on foreign policy is simply a way to distract from Biden’s foreign policy shortcomings.
